The One
Personal Commission · Circa 2005
Some designs become part of a collection. Others become part of your life.
In 2005, I set out to create something I had never seen before—a micro pavé halo built with natural Fancy Intense Pink diamonds, surrounding a custom-cut GIA-certified 2.00-carat oval diamond (D/VVS1). Rather than using rose gold to intensify the pink, every stone was set in platinum, allowing the diamonds to speak entirely for themselves.
The proportions became an obsession. I wanted the center to retain the elegance of an oval while carrying the visual presence of a perfectly balanced round brilliant. Every fraction of a millimeter mattered.
When the ring was finished, I knew it was perfect. Dramatic enough to be really special, dainty enough for her size 3.75 finger.
It became the ring I used to ask my wife to spend her life with me.
More than twenty years later, it remains the only one ever made—and it always will.
