Some commissions begin with a gemstone. This one began with a gesture.
A longtime collector wanted a statement ring unlike anything in her collection—feminine without being delicate, sculptural without feeling ornate. At its center sits a custom-cut 42-carat pineapple-cut green amethyst, chosen for the extraordinary way its faceting captures and reflects light from every angle.
Rather than competing with the stone, I designed the mounting to embrace it. Two delicate pavé-set bows sweep gracefully around the gem, hand-fabricated in 18-karat white gold to create movement, balance, and softness against the bold scale of the center stone.
The result is a ring that feels both playful and refined—a one-of-a-kind commission created for a collector who understood that the most memorable jewelry often begins with a conversation.
