This project started with an original onyx ring that had belonged to a client’s grandfather—a piece worn for decades and carried through a lifetime of memories. The stone had become worn with age, its surface softened by time, but its significance remained untouched.
Rather than replace it, we chose to honor it.
The original onyx was carefully removed, recut, and polished to reveal a renewed depth and luster while preserving the character that made it meaningful. From there, an entirely new ring was hand fabricated in solid 18-karat yellow gold, drawing inspiration from classic gentleman’s signets while embracing a cleaner, more contemporary silhouette.
The result is not a reproduction of the original ring, but its next chapter. Familiar enough to carry the memory forward, yet refined enough to be worn for generations to come.
