2006 · A Family Heirloom Reimagined

Deco Recreation in Platinum · Circa 2006

In 2006, a longtime client entrusted me with one of her family’s treasures—a platinum Art Deco bracelet that had belonged to her great-grandmother, Angela. Nearly a century old, its delicate tube-link construction had reached the point where restoration alone would never return it to daily wear.

She loved the bracelet, but she knew it would spend the rest of its life tucked safely away.

Together, we chose a different path.

The original old single-cut diamonds and treasured rose-cut center diamond were carefully preserved and given new purpose. To honor Angie’s love of emeralds, I commissioned a suite of custom carré-cut Colombian emeralds, allowing the geometry of the original Art Deco design to evolve into an entirely new composition.

Handcrafted in platinum, the finished ring carries the soul of the original bracelet while becoming something its owner could wear and enjoy every day. Rather than preserving history behind glass, we gave it a second life—one worthy of the woman who first wore it.
